The Ball Ground Project

The fastest way to get a family outside is a fire. This Ball Ground build put one in stone, from the ground up. Here's the short version.

The situation

The backyard had the space but no anchor. Nothing kept anyone out there once the sun went down. The owners wanted a centerpiece that would carry the yard for the next thirty years.

What we built

A custom stone outdoor fireplace and chimney, laid course by course. Not a kit dropped on a slab. We ran the hardscape to meet it, so the fire sits at the center of the yard.

How it went

From first footing to first fire, the stonework set the pace. Slow, in the way real stonework is supposed to be slow. The masons wouldn't let a single course go down crooked.
