Outdoor kitchens, bars, and pergolas that work as hard as the rooms inside.
GreenTree is an owner-operated outdoor kitchen contractor based in East Cobb, building across the Atlanta metro. You get one fixed number and a finished kitchen that matches it.
The kitchen and the bar are where the gathering actually happens. They have to work, not just photograph.
Most homeowners we meet have already hosted off a folding table and a portable grill. They're done with it. They want counter space where the prep happens. A bar people can pull a stool up to. A pergola that shades the seating at 4pm in July. Lighting that doesn't quit at sundown. A putting green where the kids and the clients both end up. All of it built for ten years of Atlanta humidity, not ten months.
That's what we build. 304 stainless cabinetry, NSF-rated grills, sealed stone counters, pergolas on proper footings, synthetic putting greens on a base that drains, and low-voltage lighting wired right the first time. GreenTree manages the work from the agreed quote through the finished build. One phone number from walkthrough to warranty.

What booking a walkthrough actually gets you.
Four steps. No surprises. The first one costs you nothing but a walk around the yard with us.
Walkthrough
We come out, walk the property, listen to how you actually host, and tell you honestly what's possible at what range. No high-pressure sale. No deposit asked for at the curb.
Fixed plan
Drawings, materials, appliance specs, a written scope, and a fixed price. You see the grill model, the cabinetry, the counter material, and the lighting plan before you sign anything. The spec you sign is the kitchen you get.
Build
Our crew, on site daily. One project lead reachable by phone. Gas, electrical, and plumbing coordinated by us, not by you chasing three subs.
Finish + warranty
Final walkthrough with you on the property, appliances tested, lighting set, and a written workmanship coverage. One phone number for the life of the project if anything needs attention.
GreenTree has been building outdoor rooms for more than ten years, and outdoor kitchens are where the standard shows most. A kitchen has to work like a kitchen, not pose like a prop. A pergola has to earn its shade every week, not twice a summer. So the gas, water, and power get planned before the first paver goes down. It's the least glamorous part of the build, and it decides everything after it.
The slow way is the only way that lasts. Proper gas-line runs. Counters set level. Pergola footings to code. Lighting on the right transformer. We'd rather lose the job to a faster bid than build something that fails in five years and puts a GreenTree truck back in your driveway pulling it out. Meet the owner →
What sits inside Outdoor Living at GreenTree.
Six categories of work, coordinated by GreenTree from start to finish.
Outdoor Kitchens
Start with how you cook. A built-in grill, useful preparation space, and storage may matter more than a long appliance list. Layout, utilities, and the surface beneath the kitchen shape the project before you choose the finishes. See the Avery outdoor kitchen and paver passage.
Bars
A bar needs room for people as well as stools. Think about where guests will sit, how the cook moves behind them, and where food gets served. It should make gathering easier without blocking the path through the patio.
Built-in BBQs
The grill is one part of the cooking area. Counter space, safe clearances, ventilation, and the fuel connection need attention too. Choosing the appliance early helps the surrounding cabinet and counter layout fit the equipment you will actually use.
Pergolas
Think about when you want shade and where you want to sit. The size and position of a pergola affect both. An open pergola does not provide the same rain protection as a solid roof, so start with the kind of cover you need.
Landscape Lighting
Start with the steps, paths, and gathering areas you want to use after dark. Then consider the planting or stonework you would like to highlight. A lighting plan should help you see where you are going and feel comfortable sitting outside.
Backyard Putting Greens
A putting green needs room for play, access, and the landscape around it. Slope and drainage matter beneath the turf. If you want a chipping area or nearby seating, include those in the layout. See how they come together at Blueberry Ridge in Milton.
What people ask before they book.
How much does an outdoor kitchen cost in the Atlanta area?
Outdoor living projects at GreenTree start at $20,000, and most of our work runs north of $40,000. The outdoor kitchens we build usually land between $30,000 and $80,000. Full setups with a covered pergola, bar, built-in grill, lighting, and a putting green run higher. The price moves with the appliance package, the counter material, the cabinetry, and the gas and electrical scope. The number is on paper before a single paver moves, and any changes you request are priced and approved in writing before they happen. And if you're shopping a $5,000 grill cart on wheels, we're not the right call. We'll point you to someone who is.
Built-in BBQ or portable grill: what's actually worth it?
A built-in is worth it if you host more than a few times a year and want the prep, the cooking, and the eating to happen in one place instead of three. You're paying for counter space, a permanent gas line, weatherproof cabinetry, and a grill rated for fixed install, not for the grill itself. A portable does fine for the once-a-month burger. If the backyard is where dinners actually happen, the built-in earns its place inside a year or two.
How long does an outdoor kitchen install take?
Typical on-site build for an outdoor kitchen is 3 to 8 weeks once the dig starts. Add 4 to 10 weeks before that for design, permits, appliance lead times, and material orders. Stainless cabinetry and stone counters both ship slow. Once the scope is locked you get a written schedule with the start date, the milestones, and the target finish. You're never wondering what week it is or who's coming.
Will an outdoor kitchen hold up to Georgia weather?
Yes, when it's built for it. We spec 304-grade stainless for cabinetry and appliances, sealed stone or porcelain for counters, weatherproof outlets and covers on electrical, and low-voltage lighting on the right transformer load. The base under everything is a proper hardscape pad, the same compacted base we use for patios. A kitchen that settles is a kitchen that fails. See Hardscape & Patios for the structural side.
Do you handle gas line, electrical, and plumbing too?
Yes, turnkey. We coordinate the licensed gas, electrical, and plumbing trades as part of the build, on our schedule, with permits pulled where the county requires them. You don't chase three subs and you don't sit through three separate inspections without us there. One project lead, one finish date.
