Patios, fire pits, and stonework that hold their level. Northwest Atlanta.
GreenTree is an owner-operated patio contractor based in East Cobb. We quote the whole job up front, in writing, and if the scope changes, that goes in writing too.
The hardscape is the bones of the yard. Get it wrong, and you redo it in five years.
Most homeowners we meet have been burned once by a contractor who vanished after the deposit. Or they're about to spend serious money on the yard for the first time and don't want to get it wrong. Both groups want the same thing. A patio, a wall, a fire pit that takes ten Georgia summers without sinking, cracking, or pulling away from the house.
That's what we build. GreenTree draws the plan and installs it ourselves, so nothing gets lost between the drawing and the dirt. The people who build your patio drive past it for years. We build like the neighbors are going to ask who did it. Because around here, they do.

What booking a walkthrough actually gets you.
Four steps. The same four whether we're laying a walkway or rebuilding the whole backyard.
Walkthrough
We come out, walk the property, listen, and tell you honestly what's possible at what range. Your first visit is with a member of our sales team. No high-pressure sale. No deposit asked for at the curb.
Fixed plan
Drawings, materials, a written scope, and a fixed price. You see what you're paying for before you sign anything. The scope you sign is the scope we build.
Build
Our crew, on site daily. One project lead reachable by phone. GreenTree coordinates our dedicated team and takes responsibility for the finished work.
Finish + warranty
Final walkthrough with you on the property. Written workmanship coverage. One phone number for the life of the project if anything needs attention.
GreenTree was built on a simple observation: too much hardscape around Cobb County fails young. Patios settle where the base was rushed. Pavers heave where nobody planned drainage underneath. Walls lean where the footing was an afterthought. This company exists to sweat the part you never see. The buried work decides whether the stone stays put.
The slow way is the only way that lasts. We'd rather lose a job to a faster bid than see a GreenTree truck back in your driveway, ripping out our own work.
Inside Hardscape & Patios at GreenTree.
Patios, walls, and stonework planned as part of the yard you want to use.
Patios
Start with the space you need for a table, chairs, and room to move. Pavers and natural stone offer different looks, patterns, and care needs. The right choice also depends on the grade, drainage, and how the patio meets the house.
Fire Pits
Think about the whole seating area, not just the fire pit. Leave room to pull up a chair and walk behind it. Wood and gas offer different experiences; fuel access, placement, and the surrounding materials belong in the same conversation.
Outdoor Fireplaces
A fireplace gives the patio a clear gathering point. Its size should suit the house and the seating area around it. The hearth, chimney, and connection to the patio are parts of one build. See our Ball Ground stone fireplace project.
Retaining Walls
A retaining wall can make room for a patio or create a more usable level in a sloped yard. Height, soil, water, and what sits above the wall affect the plan. Structural and permit requirements depend on the site and scope.
Walkways
A good walkway connects the places you actually use. The route, width, and any steps should make sense from the door to the patio or garden. Our Acworth paver passage shows how a narrow route can become part of the outdoor space.
Driveways
The surface needs to work for vehicles and fit the house. When the project includes columns, planting, or lighting, those details should be planned together. Explore our driveway and entrance landscaping work.
What people ask before they book.
How much does a patio cost in the Atlanta area?
Our hardscape projects start at $20,000. Most patios we build land between $25,000 and $60,000, and full systems with a fire pit, retaining walls, and integrated lighting can run higher. The price moves with square footage, material choice (bluestone, travertine, paver, mortared stone), grade and drainage, and the features you add. Fair, to us, is simple. The number is set in the written scope before we start, and it only moves if you move the scope. If you're shopping a $5,000 paver patio, we're not the right call, and we'll point you to someone who is.
How long does a patio installation take?
Typical on-site build for a patio is 2 to 6 weeks once the dig starts. Add 4 to 8 weeks before that for design, permits, and material lead times. Weather moves it. When you sign the plan, you get a written schedule with the start date, the milestones, and the target finish. You always know what week you're in and who's showing up.
What's the difference between hardscape and landscaping?
Hardscape is the hard structural work. Patios, walls, fire features, walkways, driveways. Landscaping is the living side. Grading, soil, planting, sod, irrigation. Most full backyard projects need both, and GreenTree coordinates both on one timeline. See Landscape Design & Installation for the full-yard side.
Who installs fire pits and outdoor fireplaces near Marietta?
GreenTree does, across Cobb, East Cobb, Roswell, Acworth, Woodstock, and the north Fulton corridor. We build to code, with proper footings, correct chimney draw on full fireplaces, and gas-line coordination if you want gas-fed. Wood-burning, gas, or hybrid. We'll talk through what fits the yard, the budget, and how you actually plan to use it.
What materials do you use for patios and retaining walls?
Bluestone, travertine, large-format porcelain, dry-laid and mortared natural stone, and segmental retaining wall block from the major lines (Belgard, Techo-Bloc). We use poured-in-place where the design calls for it. We don't push one material because we get a kickback. We use what's right for the job, the site, and the budget. You see the trade-offs at the design step before you commit.
Ready to walk your yard?
We'll look at what's under your yard before we talk about what goes on top of it. You get a plan and one number that covers both.
